Daisy Forrest, the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, has been issued notice to appear before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court on August 31 to give a statement regarding a property in Mount Lavinia in relation to an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) informed curt today that although a statement was required from her, she had repeatedly avoided giving a statement.

Therefore the FCID had requested the court to issue notice on Daisy Forrest to give a statement pertaining to the case.

After considering the plea, the court decided to issue notice on her to appear before the court on Wednesday (31).
