Reports add that new governors are to be appointed to the Sabaragamuwa, South, North West and North Central provinces.

It is said that Sabaragamuwa province governor - Marshall Perera (father of state minister Dilan Perera) has agreed to resign and is expected to be succeeded by former deputy minister - Hemal Perera.

Also, reports say that former minister Piyasena Gamage would be appointed as the Southern province governor after securing an overseas diplomatic post for the present governor - Hemakumara Nanayakkara.

It is further said that Lalith Dissanayake has been tipped to replace Amara Piyaseeli as the next governor of North Central province.

Sources say that there are preparations to appoint new governors for the provinces of East and Uva provinces as well.

ASP in the list?

Meanwhile, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that businessman and leader of Sri Lanka Labour Party - A.S.P. Liyanage too, is being considered for a governor position.
