Speaking to BBC Sandeshaya, he has added that due to absence of proper vision neither the Selection Committee nor the senior players have taken measures to train the young players, following the retirement of several senior players, to strengthen the team.

Arjuna is of the opinion that the young players such as Chandimal, Thirimanne and Karunaratne should be given an opportunity to play front line.

He further stated that the Selection Committee has failed to contemplate on future while they focused on today's victory.
