Shedrick spoke to Sri Lankan media today (05) at the Library Services Board via skype technology, organized by his attorney Lasitha Perera.

Fake attorney license

The Australian businessman said Gammanpila had faked an attorney license and sold 4.1 million shares owned by him.

The CID on August 01 received a complaint with regard to the sale of shares of Shedrick’s Metal Recycle and several other companies.

He said the CID was investigating documents at Pan Asia Bank and at the registrar of companies, while a court case is ongoing.

Discourages investors

Shedrick said his was a case of injustice against foreign investors to Sri Lanka, which will discourage investments to the island.

Gamanpila is a fraudster and is trying to portray this as political revenge, but I have not need to take revenge from Lankan politicians, he said.

Shedrick’s wife Jane Elizabeth too, spoke on the occasion and said her signature too, had been faked into the bogus attorney license prepared by Gammanpila.

Challenge from lawyer

Lawyer Lasitha Perera said he has information as to whom and how Gammanpila had sold the company shares.

He challenged Gammanpila to join him at a media briefing regarding the matter.
