Speaking to the media at the party office in Battaramulla today (07), JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake noted that Yapa is facing allegations similar to the ones faced by Johnston Fernando.

Dissanayake alleged Yapa was not being arrested as he is the general secretary of the SLFP.

He went onto say that members of the present parliament are not fit to govern the country, who raised their hands for the 17th, 18th as well as the 19th amendments to the constitution.

The JVP leader asked the IGP to investigate the corrupt and the frauds as well as those who had investigated them, while probing the abductions of Lalith, Kugan and Ekneligoda, the white van terror, and the assaults on Keith Noyahr and Upali Tennakoon.
