SL contingent leaves for 2016 Olympics

The Sri Lankan contingent taking in the 2016 Olympics have left for Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

The nine-member team headed by Anuradha Indrajith Cooray left the national Olympic committee office yesterday and are expected to to check in at the Rio Athletes’ Village today (02).

Athletes: Niluka Rajesekara, Sumedha Ranasinghe, Swimmers; Mathew Abeyasinghe and Kimiko Raheem, Weight lifter; Sudesh Peris, Shuttler; Niluka Karunarathne, Sharp shooter; Mangala Samarakoon. and Judoka; Nuwan Dharmawardena will represent Sri Lanka at the Rio Olympics.
