Manager Halangoda fails to look after U-19 team Featured

Manager of the under-19 cricket team Mahinda Halangoda is disregarding his duties and has failed to look after the players under his care.

They are presently accommodated at ‘Kithusevana’ in Colombo for a series with a visiting South African team.

Some of the Sri Lankan youngsters have developed fever and stomach trouble after partaking of the meals given them by the place.

Even without sending them to the doctor, Halangoda has reportedly sent the boys back to their homes.

He has consulted only the physiotherapist about their sicknesses.

Two of the sick youngsters, one from Aloyceus College, Galle and Trinity College, Kandy had reached their homes on their own by public transport.

As a result, the safety of the under-19 team members has become a serious concern.
