The UDA is to take over the land in which Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s CSN channel has its headquarters.

It had been given on lease to D.A. Rajapaksa Foundation and the lease agreement is to be cancelled.

FCID sources say the building and other assets in the land in question will be taken over by the state as well, as no owner has been established.

Previously, the Kaduwela magistrate ordered the handover of an OB vehicle owned by CSN to SLRC, on the promise of presenting it as material evidence to courts.

Meanwhile, Colombo additional magistrate Augusta Atapattu has issued an order to the Nugegoda land registrar, banning the sale or ownership transfer of a property at Ratmalana bought to the name of Daisy Forrest, who is Yoshitha’s grandmother.

The house is allegedly bought with money earned through questionable means.

The Mt. Lavinia magistrate ordered the land be surveyed on September 28.
