Ministry of Defence has made an attempt award the contract of maintaining security services under a competitive bidding process. It has submitted rates of the RALL to cabinet authorities take a decision on obtaining security services to government entities under government procurement process.

However Concerns were raised by certain authorities over the poor quality of private security services and the social issues which can come up if Rakna Arakshaka Lanka faces difficulties as result of completive bidding process of selecting a security company to handle security services in state institutions.

Therefore Rakna Arakshaka Lanka will continue their services unabated in state agencies.
