AG under pressure
However, AG’s Department sources say no legal action could be taken due to pressure from the top political authority.
The most recent case in point is the CID’s inability to arrest magistrate Thilina Gamage despite an arrest order issued by the AG on May 12 over charges of keeping a baby elephant without a license.
