France's dengue vaccine to be tested in SL Featured

Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Rajitha Senaratne has advised the relevant parties to look into the suitability of the vaccine for dengue , approved by the WHO and manufactured in France.

If it is suitable for use he has instructed the officials to register it with the National Drug Regulatory Authority.

Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka has informed the Minister of Health regarding the particular vaccine, which is currently being used in 4 countries.

Meanwhile, the Minister has also given out instructions to promptly appoint the National Advisory Committee for the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
